The State Of The Oppressors On The Day Of Judgement
Injustice is one of the gravest sins, and it will be a darkness on the Day of Judgment, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Beware of injustice, for injustice will be darkness on the Day of Judgment.” He (peace be upon him) also said: “Allah, the Exalted, says: ‘O My servants, I have forbidden injustice upon Myself and made it forbidden among you, so do not oppress one another.'” Allah states in the Holy Quran in Surah Al-Furqan: “And whoever among you commits injustice, We will make him taste a great punishment.” [Al-Furqan: 19] He also says: “And the oppressors will have no ally nor supporter.” [Ash-Shura: 8].
The evil of injustice is great, and its consequences are severe. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “All of a Muslim’s blood, wealth, and honor are prohibited to another Muslim.” He (peace be upon him) stated during the Farewell Pilgrimage: “Indeed, your blood, your wealth, and your honor are as sacred to one another as the sanctity of this day, in this month, in this city.”
The ruler must fear Allah regarding their subjects, be good to them, and educate them if they err and make mistakes. They should guide them toward goodness and restrain the foolish until they become upright. The ruler is a physician and educator for them; if someone does wrong, they must be directed to goodness and educated when necessary, until they straighten out and abandon sinful behavior, which leads them to a worse state and dire consequences. Their guardian should observe this and assist them.
