Remembrance and Prayers of the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) is a translation of al-Kalim at-Tayyib, compiled by Shaykh-ul-Islam Abu’l-‘Abbas Ahmad Taqiyyu’d-Din ibn Taymiyah (661-728 AH, 1263-1328 CE). There are many books available on this subject in Arabic, some of which have been translated into English, but this book has its own special merits. Ibn Taymiyah is one of the greatest scholars of Islam, whose comments on certain subjects are regarded as final by most Muslim scholars. Imam Shams ad-Din adh-Dhahabi said that the authenticity of a hadith approved by Ibn Taymiyah cannot be doubted.
This book has an extra blessing, in that it is an abridgement of Kitab al-Adhkar of Imam Muhy ad-Din Abu Zakariyya Yahya ibn Sharaf an-Nawawi (631-676 AH, 1233-1276 CE), the celebrated commentator onSahih Muslim and a great scholar of Islamic learning. His book Kitab al-Adhkar is known as the best collection on the subject of remembrance of Allah and prayers, according to the way of the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, his Companions and the people who followed them with sincerity and devotion.
This book also has another merit, in that it was published in Arabic by al-Maktab al-Islami of Damascus and Beirut, with editing and research by one of the greatest scholars of hadith in the contemporary world, Shaykh Nasir ad-Din al-Albani, may Allah have mercy on him and reward him for his service to the Sunnah.
